Make Targeted Adsense Results Easy
1 Comments Published by mSteven on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at 12:19 AM.Adsense is a great way to generate income for your website if you are willing to put up advertisements for other companies. Adsense is also a great way for a business to advertise at a low cost and generate more traffic to their site. Regardless of which side of the fence you sit on, it is important that Adsense results are targeted. I will discuss how this benefits both the advertiser and the business that is doing the advertising.
Let’s say you have a business and you are allowing advertisements for other businesses to be posted there through Adsense. The only way you make any money is if the advertisement is targeted towards something the consumers viewing your website are interested in. It only makes sense for the ads to be in the same ballpark as what you offer but not an ad that directly competes with what you are offering.
On the advertisers end, Adsense is a great way to get more traffic to their website. They also only pay for each click that links back to there website from the ones where the ads are posted. Behind the scenes, a lot of hard work and time are investing in advertising. What good does it do if no one looks at the ads? There would be no logic to advertising sports cars on a website that is for children or advertising chocolate on a website for diabetic supplies unless the candy is for diabetics, then we have something to work with!
Adsense from Google has a great system they work with. The more information a business gives them when they sign up either to advertise or to host advertisements, the better the target will be met. Google Adsense works hard to match advertisements with what the various websites are offering as well as the target age group. Their data is also based on what the consumers out there are looking for. They are very aware of consumer trends. The goal is to get advertisements of the websites that appear natural to the consumer. It is also out of respect. Who wants to go online for a pair of running shoes and see ads for adult products and websites?
Keywords are very important when it comes to Adsense. This helps the system match up advertisers and advertisement hosts by comparing the keywords. The more keywords you enter when you complete your application at Adwords, the more matches will be provided. Content on your website is important for getting advertisements to host on your website. In fact, the more content you have the more advertisements will come your way. This is because the robots of the Adsense program at Google will pick up on this additional content. You can also place more keywords if you have more content.
Section targeting is also a great way to get the results you are looking for. This method allows you to suggest particular portions of your text that is part of your website to Google. You can request that they generate advertisements for your website to host based on that material and content. Section targeting is very simple to implement as it only involves adding certain html comments to the html code of your website. You also have the ability to ask Google and the Adsense program to ignore particular portions of material and content on your website that you do not want to offer advertisements for.
Adsense can work very well for you as an inexpensive way to get more advertising for your business. This is done by paying other websites to host your advertisements. You will pay them a set amount each time a consumer clicks the ad from their website linking to yours.

Tactics Used to Get Banned in Search Engines and Losing your Adsense Account
13 Comments Published by mSteven on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 4:33 PM.Google, the undisputable leader in search engines, today, is placing a high importance on the quality and relevancy of its search engines. Most especially now that the company is public property. In order to keep the shareholders and users of its engines happy, the quality of the returned results are given extreme importance.
For this same reason, doing the wrong things in the Adsense and other forms of advertisements, whether intentionally or unintentionally, will result in a severe penalty, may get you banned and even have your account terminated. Nothing like a good action taken to keep wrongdoers from doing the same things over again.
So for those who are thinking of getting a career in Adsense, do not just think of the strategies you will be using to generate more earnings. Consider some things first before you actually get involved.
a) Hidden text, filling your advertisement page with texts to small to read, has the same color as the background and using css for the sole purpose of loading them with rich keywords content and copy will earn you a penalty award that is given to those who are hiding links.
b) Page cloaking, there is a common practice of using browser or bot sniffers to serve the bots of a different page other than the page your visitors will see. Loading a page with a bot that a human user will never see is a definite no-no. This is tricking them to click on something that you want but they may not want to go to.
c) Multiple submissions, submitting multiple copies of your domain and pages is another thing to stay away from. For example, trying to submit a URL of an Adsense as two separate URL’s is the same as inviting trouble and even termination. Likewise, this is a reason to avoid auto submitters for those who are receiving submissions. Better check first if your domain is submitted already an a certain search engine before you try to submit to it again. If you see it there, then move on. No point contemplating whether to try and submit there again.
d) Page rank for sale, if you have been online for quite some time, you will notice that there are some websites selling their PR links or trading them with other websites. If you are doing this, expect a ban anytime in the future. It is okay to sell ads or gain the link. But doing it on direct advertisement of your page rank is a way to get on search engines bad side.
e) Link farms, be wary of who and what are you linking your Adsense to. The search engines know that you cannot control your links in. But you can certainly control what you link to. Link farming has always been a rotten apple in the eyes of search engines, especially Google. That is reason enough to try and avoid them. Having a link higher than 100 on a single page will classify you as a link farm so try and not to make them higher than that. Also stay away from free for all links pages and web spammers or if a website has been dropped or banned by the search engines in the past.
f) Doorways, this is similar to cloaking pages. The common practice of a page loaded with choice keyword ads aimed at redirecting visitors to another “user-friendly” page is a big issue among search engines. There are many seo firms offering this kind of services. Now that you know what they actually are, try to avoid them at all costs.
g) There should be no broken links or 404 errors, pop-ups or pop-unders on your website will be penalized for them and do not have webpages with irrelevant words or phrases.
h) There should not be webpages with minimal content that is of little or no value to the topic of the site and no duplicate content unnecessarily displayed on your websites.
i) There are software programs that submits webpages or check rankings of webpages automatically with programming queries to the all search engines, and consumes the resources of the search engines which are extremely valuable to them, you will be penalized for using this type of software.
j) The over use of a competitors logo, name or brand names, websites with to many virtual host names will also be penalized by search engines.
k) Webpages that install any type of virus, trojan or spyware is a major step to get banned. Spyware or malware that tracks web surfers actions, movements and locations on the world wide web and then reports all this information right back to unscrupulous operators who then spam the web surfers with all kinds of junk. Spyware of this type is often not knowingly downloaded by the web surfer, usually while the web surfer is playing a online game or is attached to some kind of software that they need or targeted information that the web surfer wants to download from a website. Usually, this type of software is hard to detect and remove from their personal computer and causes all kinds of problems with their computer in functionality.
l) Multiple domains having the same content. In case you are not aware of it, search engines look at domains IP’s, registry dates and many others. Having multiple domains having the same exact content is not something you can hide from them. The same goes with content multiplied many times on separate pages, sub domains and forwarding multiple domains to the same content.
Getting dropped and/or banned from the major search engines can cause your rankings to have dire effects on your website traffic, sales and website popularity.
The above tactics apply to most search engines and is not entirely for Google only. Avoid the wrath of the search engines getting website banned, your Adsense and website account closed.

Adsense is the best income generating program ever spawned! Why?
There is no product or service to promote. Only your domain. Webspace, an Adsense account, and highly targeted traffic is needed. Your success with adsense, you will soon learn, is as easy as driving s car or cooking a four course meal. The reality is Adsense Success and everything else has to be learned. When you learned how to drive a car it became simple and after a couple of months of driving everyday or so. It became second nature. Once you learn the Adsense formula and it's variables. The sky's the limit with Google Adsense
Learn The Adsense Craft. You can't cheat your way to success or for some a healthy adsense income. Just like anything other skill in life, it has to be learned. Everything that everyone knows was learned from a teacher(I.E. Anyone), a book, an article(I.E. Newspapers, Magazines, and the Internet), or by word of mouth. You have to learn the adsense formula and all the adsense variables. I have a A.A.S in Computer Programming and Engineering. So believe me I know how to give low-level instructions. No one can tell YOU how to make YOUR site a success, only guide you in the right direction.
The Adsense VariablesTT(High CTR) + Content = Adsense Earnings
Content - try to have a 1000 words of keyphrase-rich content.High CTR - highly optimized placement of the adsense code.
TT - Highly Targeted Traffic
Adsense Content
Keywords are a bad idea! High paying or not. In fact don't choose high paying keywords, not because of the saturation of SEO experts, but because keywords are to broad. Adwords is ying and Adsense is yang. Broad keywords have low payouts and ctr. You want to target keyphrases, so your site only displays high paying adsense ads, not .15 adsense ads from some beginner with one of your terms in their adwords campaign. There is a lot of free content online, but it is best to use unique content for search engine purposes. To accomplish this hire a writer or choose niche subjects that you are familiar with, so that you can write your own articles and e-books. Don't base your site on money rather than your passion. Example. My passion is computers and networking.Adsense CTR
Optimal adsense ad placement is the heart of high adsense ctr. There are four locations on a webpage the receives the most clicks. All along side the left column.
In your content, if very interesting and informative.
At the end of your content after a reader finishes.
Adsense ad format effects ctr greatly whether or not they are placed in the right spots. Squares receive the most clicks, beginning with the largest and so on. The ads should blend with your page. Only the link title should be a different color than the text and url. No borders unless red or yellow. They attract viewer's eyes.
The link color should match your site's links, but blue and red work the best. Incredibly Increase your adsense ctr up to 400% by placing related images above or to the left of adsense ads.
Yes, there is a difference between targeted traffic and highly targeted traffic. Someone looking for an online business would be targeted traffic to this article, but someone looking for an adsense business would be a highly targeted visitor. Why high quality traffic? Your Ctr will be amazing and unbelievable because all of your traffic will be looking for YOUR site. Don't be surprised if you have certain days where 97% of your visitors clicked an adsense ad. How? Blogs, Articles, E-books, Rss Feeds, and most SERP(search engine results page) traffic. Never use traffic exchanges or links from other sites unless their content is similar to yours.

Adsense Keywords for 22 Hot Niches
11 Comments Published by mSteven on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 12:38 PM.I’m pleased to offer the following adsense keywords that target 22 hot niches and potentially paying out high to very high average Earnings Per Click (EPC). The key word here is “average” EPC. Don’t be fooled by keyword lists that show very high 1st Bidder rates as Google only sets the rate at 1 cent higher than the 2nd Bidder, which could be significantly lower.
For example, the 1st Bidder for an Adsense Keyword could be $4.74 but the 2nd Bidder is only 86 cents resulting in the highest Bidder being only 87 cents. Additionally, Bidders in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th Bidders could all be under 50 cents which consequently result in the “average” Bid amount being 28 cents… a far cry from the $4.74 1st Bidder amount. So if you didn’t know before, I hope you know now. It’s important to be focused on the “average” not the highest bid.
Of course, market size is the next consideration to determine potential traffic and income.
1. Cosmetic Surgery - $3.75 with an Average Bid for the Top 10 Advertisers of $1.60
2. Document Management - $21.92 with an Average Bid for the Top 10 Advertisers of $11.72

17. 2nd Mortgage - $32.15 with an Average Bid for the Top 10 Advertisers of $16.19

Start by writing some quality content articles which are also keyword incorporated. There are a lot of people given the gift of being good with words. Writing comes easy for them. Why not make it work in such a way that you will be earning some extra cash in the process.
There are actually three steps to put into mind before you begin writing your ads and having an effective Adsense.
Keyword search.

The proper positioning of your ads should be done with care. Try to position your ads where surfers are most likely to click on them. According to research, the one place that surfers look first when they visit a certain site is the top left. The reason behind this is not known. Maybe it is because some of the most useful search engine results are at the top of all other rankings. So visitors tend to look in that same place when browsing through other sites.
Finally, Adsense has some excellent tracking statistics that allows webmasters and publishers to track their results across a number of site on a site by site, page by page, or any other basis you wanted. You should be aware oft his capability and make the most of it because it is one powerful tool that will help you find out which ads are performing best. This way, you can fine tune your Adsense ads and focus more on the ones being visited the most rather than those who are being ignored.

5 Tips to Improve Your Adsense Targeting
0 Comments Published by mSteven on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 12:33 PM.As an Adsense publisher, I am often annoyed to find my web pages filled with public service announcements (PSA) and ads unrelated to the content of my site. Fewer relevant ads mean fewer click-throughs and ultimately lower Adsense revenues. However advanced Google's contextual ad serving algorithm may be, it is still a computer program (as opposed to a human being) trying to figure out what a web page is about.
Below are some tips to help you optimize your pages to make them more Adsense-friendly. Note that these tips deal with ad delivery rather than ad formatting or placement. While ad formatting and placement may affect ad click-through rates, they have nothing to do with the delivery of relevant ads to your site. Your site must display relevant ads before they have any chance of being clicked on.
1. Avoid too much content on a page
If Adsense does not understand what is your page is about, it cannot deliver ads targeted to its content. Although a human being can easily tell what a web page is about by taking a glance at it, computer algorithms are no so intelligent. If your page contains too much content, chances are that it also contains too many seemingly unrelated keywords. Adsense becomes confused and displays PSAs or ads unrelated to the topic of your page. Try dividing the page into smaller ones, each focusing on just a few related keywords.
2. Avoid too little content on a page
If your page contains lots of graphics and very little text, Adsense may have a hard time figuring out what it is about. This is especially true when the bulk of your content is derived from graphics and scripts. When possible, use text rather than graphics to display website names, page titles, and headline texts. Make certain to include your keywords in the title of your page and repeat them throughout the page. Avoid hiding your text through sneaky tactics, such as using tiny fonts or making your text the same color as the background. This may be construed by search engines as spam.
3. Repeat keywords that you are targeting
Keyword repetition makes it easier for Adsense to decipher what your page is about. Do this in moderation as excessive repetition may be considered spam by the search engines. Excessive repetition may also make your writing sound awkward to the human reader. Instead of repeating the same keyword more than 5 or 6 times on a page, use synonyms and related keywords. For example, instead of repeating "Adsense optimization" 20 times, you might try alternative phrases like "increase Adsense revenues" or "earn more from Adsense".
4. Avoid acronyms
I once wrote an article on pay-per-click advertising for one of my sites, and after I uploaded the article, I was perplexed to find ads for Apple computers on the article page. In fact, none of the ads had anything to do with pay-per-click advertising. Upon closer inspection, it occurred to me that I used the acronym PPC in place of pay-per-click numerous times in the article. As it turned out, "PPC" also stood for "PowerPC", Apple's line of Power Macintosh computers, which explained why I was getting all the Apple related ads. When I replaced all the "PPC" with "pay-per-click" and "pay per click", the problem went away.
5. Choose keywords with commercial value
You may get public service announcements rather than paid ads if your page deals with a subject matter whose keywords no one bids on. A remedy for this is to incorporate keywords with commercial value into your manuscript. For instance, if your page is on some obscure medical condition, you might try sprinkling a few drug names into your document to make it display paid ads rather than PSAs.
